What Our New York Solar Customers Are Saying
We had been searching for solar options for quite a while but finances have always been a sticking point. A close family friend recommended that we check out Dividend Solar based on their own experience with the company and needless to say we were amazed with their whole process (very simple application) and their attractive low rates. The sales rep, along with the whole company, were so helpful in answering all of our questions and helped walk us through each step. We really appreciate the personal touch, and they made us feel like we were all partners in the project.

At first I was uneasy about "going solar" at my lake house. Once I decided on Dividend Solar, the process was extremely easy. The customer service team at Dividend Solar held my hand through the whole process - I wish I had made this decision earlier! I have already recommended the professional team at Dividend Solar to friends and family - all have been VERY happy with the product delivered and service performed. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
Solar panel installations in New York have grown tremendously in recent years due to the great economic incentives. First, the federal government offers a 30% tax credit which is available in all 50 states. This credit is applied to the federal taxes you pay each year, thereby lowering the net cost of your solar system. This credit is a great benefit of going solar: money that you would otherwise pay in taxes can now be used to own your solar system sooner.
In addition to the federal tax credit, there are two other solar incentives in New York: the New York Solar Rebate and the New York State Tax Credit.
- New York's solar rebate – effectively a discount – reduces the cost of your solar system at the time of purchase; the amount of the rebate varies by your location within New York state.
- New York's solar tax credit covers 25% of the system up to $5,000 and can be used as a credit on your state tax payments.
It is important to note that you can only reap the benefits of the state and federal tax credits* – which can cover up to 55% of your system's cost – if you own your system directly (instead of leasing it or choosing a Power Purchase Agreement). With the Dividend Solar EmpowerLoan, you own your system and you get all of the economic benefits of going solar in New York.

The combination of great solar incentives and the high cost of electricity from your utility company make going solar in New York a home run (either down the line in Yankee Stadium or in the expanses of Citi Field).
When you begin to generate your own solar power, your utility bill can drop significantly. How much you can save will depend on the size of your solar system, your electricity usage, your current utility rates, and other factors. Our team and partners can design a system for you using remote assessment tools, and can present you with a system designed specifically for your home to give you a sense of your expected solar savings.
Working with the best solar installers in New York, Dividend Solar offers its customers a better, simpler way to go solar and save money on utility bills.
